2026 Grass Maintenance for NORRIS BEACH
The 2026 tender issued by the Summer Village of Norris Beach seeks a qualified contractor for grass cutting and grounds maintenance services across the municipal boundaries during the warm season. The contract will span from mid‑May to mid‑September, with the possibility of extending up to two additional seasons by mutual agreement. Work will be conducted on parks, municipal reserves, common areas, and entrance features, as well as on roadside boulevards, municipal rights‑of‑way, and roadside ditches, ensuring that all green spaces within the village remain well maintained throughout the season.
The contractor will supply all labour, equipment, fuel, and supervision needed to carry out the weekly mowing and trimming of parks, tree bases, entrance areas, and park features, as well as the periodic mowing of boulevards every two to three weeks and the required two to three cuts of ditch areas, including sloped terrain. All equipment must be maintained in safe working condition, and the contractor must hold a minimum of $2 million in liability insurance and Workers’ Compensation Board coverage, remaining fully responsible for any damage caused during the performance of the work. All services must be delivered in accordance with applicable safety regulations and the minimum liability insurance and WCB coverage requirements.
