Deadline:

AI Summary

The Mining Remediation Authority is seeking to establish a framework for the provision of specialised construction, environmental and technical professional services aimed at mitigating the impacts of historic mining activities across the United Kingdom. The framework will enable the Authority to draw on high‑quality expertise for civil, structural, geotechnical engineering, environmental assessment, remediation, mine water management and specialist technical consultancy. It is designed to support statutory responsibilities, protect and enhance the environment, and deliver value for money through innovative and commercially sustainable solutions.

The tender is divided into four main lots. Lot 1 covers scoping, feasibility, design, supervision and project management for mine water treatment schemes and civil and structural interventions; Lot 2 provides multidisciplinary ecological and environmental consultancy, including surveys, impact assessments, monitoring, compliance and licensing support across two sub‑lots; Lot 3 focuses on the assessment, testing and development of passive and active mine water treatment solutions, with sub‑lots dedicated to nature‑based and operable treatment systems; and Lot 4 encompasses planning and consents, economic assessment, and project and programme management, including NEC contract oversight and cost management. Each lot is framed to deliver timely, high‑quality outputs that meet agreed timescales, quality standards and project requirements.

All appointed consultants must adhere to UK statutory environmental and engineering regulations and maintain the highest professional and ethical standards in the execution of their work.
