Community Profiling Beds, Mattresses and Associated Products

The Business Services Organisation Procurement and Logistics Service is establishing a multi‑year framework for the supply and delivery of a range of community electric profiling beds and associated components. The tender invites suppliers to provide the beds and matching mattresses, accessories and spare parts for use within the Northern Ireland health and social care sector, specifically for Belfast Health and Social Care Trust, Northern Health and Social Care Trust, South Eastern Health and Social Care Trust, Southern Health and Social Care Trust, Western Health and Social Care Trust and the BSO PaLS itself. The procurement is organized into eight distinct lots, covering standard electric profiling beds, low entry and high‑low variants, heavy duty and bariatric models, as well as paediatric beds and a paediatric height‑adjustable cot. Each lot includes specified mattress options — non‑powered reactive support surfaces and high specification foam mattresses designed for the respective bed type, along with compatible accessories and spare parts to ensure full operational readiness.

The framework requires that all supplied beds be compatible with the designated mattress types, which encompass static hybrid reactive support surfaces, high specification foam, heavy duty variants, and bariatric versions where applicable. All components must adhere to the technical standards set for community electric profiling solutions, be fully functional for patient care, and include the necessary supporting accessories and spare parts to guarantee service continuity. All products must be compatible with the specified reactive support surface mattresses and include necessary accessories and spare parts.
