Corporate Property, Liability and Terrorism insurance for the Insurance London Consortium (ILC)

The London Borough of Croydon, acting together with the London Boroughs of Camden, Haringey, Harrow, Islington, Lambeth and Tower Hamlets, is inviting tenders for the provision of Corporate Property, Liability and Terrorism insurance to be held by the Insurance London Consortium (ILC). The procurement is divided into three distinct lots that will cover the comprehensive insurance needs of the consortium for a period of five years.

Lot 1 consists of property insurance that must cover material damage risks to buildings, contents, infrastructure, plant and equipment, as well as other assets owned, leased or managed by the consortium members, and should include business‑interruption and loss‑of‑revenue cover where applicable. Lot 2 requires terrorism insurance that protects insured property and compensates for any financial losses arising from acts of terrorism, including physical damage and consequential losses; tenderers must provide detailed coverage limits, exclusions and arrangements with reinsurance facilities such as Pool Re or its equivalent. Lot 3 is aimed at casualty insurance, encompassing Public, Employers’, Products, Officials’, Members’, Professional Indemnity and, where relevant, Abuse and Molestation liability programmes, together with any other related liability cover specified in the Schedule of Requirements.

Tenders will be evaluated with a weighting of sixty percent for price and forty percent for quality, and must be submitted electronically through the designated portal by the appointed deadline. All proposals must demonstrate compliance with UK insurance regulatory standards and include appropriate reinsurance arrangements as stipulated.
