Corrigendum-Compounded mAbs - Cancer Therapies

The South East Pharmacy Procurement Service is issuing a recurring framework agreement for the supply and delivery of compounded monoclonal antibodies (mAbs) to be administered intravenously for chemotherapy indications. The framework will be made available to participating NHS Trusts in the Thames Valley & Wessex and South‑East Coast regions, enabling the procurement of a range of high‑volume and low‑volume mAb products without requiring individual contracts for each drug. The totality of the agreement is governed by standard NHS contractual terms that have previously been accepted by the supply chain.

The procurement is divided into two distinct lots. Lot 1 supplies high‑volume products and comprises five different mAb molecules, covering all brands available for those indications. Lot 2 covers lower‑volume products and includes thirteen distinct mAb molecules, again allowing any brand to be supplied. Both lots carry options for up to two one‑year extensions, permitting the contract to run for a maximum of four years. The evaluation of offers will emphasize technical compliance, quality assurance and shelf life, with a pronounced weight on the latter two relative to price and social value.

All supplied mAbs must meet current NHS quality, safety and aseptic preparation standards.

This framework will be available for use by Trusts in East of England and London regions, but the volumes for these regions have not been included for adjudication as part of the tender process.
SEC Trusts can utilise this tender for products or services not covered by the National unlicensed aseptically prepared cytotoxic medicines and mAbs framework via MPSC.
Please note: we did not publish a preliminary market engagement notice (UK2) for the following reasons:
- we are not seeking to further develop our requirements or procurement approach.
- we have procured similar supply arrangements via the Open procedure and deployed similar conditions of participation and award criteria. These have yielded good results previously.
- we have already prepared our tender pack (see attached), that detail standard NHS contractual terms which have been found to be acceptable to the supply chain.
- we understand the likely suppliers who will be interested but the open notice approach gives opportunity to others looking to enter the mAbs supply market
