FRAMEWORK AGREEMENT FOR THE PROCUREMENT OF OCCUPATIONAL HEALTH PHYSICIANS

The Gloucestershire County Council and Gloucester City have issued a framework agreement for the procurement of Occupational Health Physicians, to be awarded under Part 6 of the Procurement Act 2023 in the light‑touch, below‑threshold category. The framework will enable the Council to secure a pool of qualified occupational health professionals who will work on‑site at council premises to deliver preventive, diagnostic and treatment services that promote the health and wellbeing of the local workforce. The invitation to tender is published through the Supply South West portal and submissions may be made electronically in English.

The framework comprises several distinct lots:
- Lot 1 a and 1 b provide primary on‑site occupational health physicians for the County Council’s own facilities;
- Lot 2 a supplies on‑call fighter support for the Gloucestershire Fire and Rescue Service, while Lot 2 b extends this service to evening hours;
- Lot 3 establishes a backup pool of occupational health physicians to cover unforeseen shortages or increased demand. All services are to be delivered at the contract location UKK13 and are subject to renewal options of one year with a further extension for an additional year.

Evaluation of bids will be based on a 55 % quality score and a 45 % price score, with overall award determined by the combined weighted score. All appointed physicians must be duly qualified occupational health specialists and registered with the relevant professional bodies to comply with the required clinical standards.
