HR Workforce & Organisational Development DPS

The tender concerns the procurement of professional development and training services for staff employed by Nottinghamshire County Council. The Council’s HR and Workforce Development team is responsible for ensuring that employees remain knowledgeable and competent in line with the latest government priorities and requirements for the delivery of local services. In particular, the training must equip staff who support service users with the essential skills and knowledge to perform their duties safely, respectfully, and in accordance with current health and safety expectations.

Providers will be required to deliver a range of learning opportunities that support the continual professional development of the Council’s workforce, including classroom instruction, online modules and practical exercises. The services should be designed to meet both the Council’s internal learning needs and the regulatory frameworks that govern public service provision, ensuring that all staff are fully prepared to deliver high‑quality services to the community while safeguarding their own well‑being and that of third parties.

All training must adhere to HSE directives and health and safety legislation.

Nottinghamshire County Council (The Council) aims to provide staff with up-to-date knowledge and skills that are in line with current government agendas, in line with the directive from the Health and Safety Executive and that comply with the health and safety legislation.
The Council’s HR and Workforce Development (HR& WOD) team supports the continual professional development of its staff to successfully meet the learning needs of people within the Authority who are involved in providing support for service uses whilst ensuring safety, dignity and respect of those service users. The Council recognises that it remains a priority to ensure that all its staff receive appropriate levels of training to carry out their duties competently and safely to avoid accidents and injury to staff and third parties and provides good quality services that meets the needs of its customers.
