Laboratory Chemicals and Consumables Framework 2026 -2030

Natural Resources Wales seeks to establish a multi‑supplier framework agreement to provide laboratory chemicals and consumables for its Analytical Services operation across the UK. The framework will enable the procurement of both generic and bespoke chemicals, as well as consumables required for laboratory sampling, sample preparation and analytical procedures, ensuring that routine laboratory activities can continue without interruption. The agreement will run for four years with annual break‑points, allowing the contracting entity to reassess performance, budget and operational requirements on a yearly basis.

The framework is structured into two main lots. Lot 1 focuses on generic chemicals, while Lot 2 is subdivided into generic consumables and a series of brand‑specific consumable categories for major analytical instruments, ranging from Agilent and Thermo Fisher to Beckman and Cytiva. Additional value‑added services may include the acquisition of new chemicals or consumables not originally listed, as well as the purchase of parts, spares, repairs, support, maintenance, and upgrades for instruments covered by Lot 2. All suppliers will be evaluated principally on price and quality, with a particular emphasis on environmental, safety and wellbeing impacts.

Natural Resources Wales (NRW) require a framework that will allow the laboratory to purchase laboratory chemicals and consumables so that routine operations can run smoothly and without interruption.This requirement is for the establishment of a multi-supplier framework agreement for the supply of laboratory chemicals and consumables to support Natural Resources Wales (NRW) Analytical Services. The framework will provide both generic and bespoke chemicals and consumables required for laboratory sampling, sample preparation, and sample analysis activities.

Lot 2 A – Generic Consumables Lot 2 .B.1 – Agilent Consumables Lot 2 B.2 – Restek Consumables Lot 2 B.3– Buchi Consumables Lot 2 B.4 – Pall Consumables Lot 2 B.5 – Shimadzu Consumables Lot 2 B.6 – Bruker Consumables Lot 2 B.7 – Biotage Consumables Lot 2 B.8 – Hach Consumables Lot 2 B.9 – Thermo Fisher Consumables Lot 2 B.10 – PerkinElmer Consumables Lot 2 B.11 – Skalar Consumables Lot 2 B.12 – Seal Analytical Consumables Lot 2 B.13 – Metrohm Consumables Lot 2 B.14 - Cytiva Consumables Lot 2 B.15 - DW Scientific Consumables In addition to Lots 1 and 2 NRW may include added value services to the requirement. The following services may be requested under this framework: • Inclusion of newly required chemical or consumables not identified at the time of award for Lot 1 and/or Lot 2 • Purchase of parts, spares and add-ons relating to NRW owned instrumentation or equipment either owned or purchased during the life of this agreement and specific to the sub lots in Lot 2 only. • One-off repair of NRW instrumentation or equipment, either owned or purchased during the life of this agreement and specific to sub lots of Lot 2 only (This will be where there is no formal support and maintenance agreement in place). • Support and Maintenance services of NRW instrumentation or equipment, either owned or purchased during the life of this agreement and specific to sub lots of Lot 2 only. • Upgrades or enhancements to NRW instrumentation or equipment specific to the sub lots in Lot 2 only. The total value allocated to this lot is £450,000.00 ex VAT. This is included within the total lot value for Lot 2
