Propane Bulk Supply Delivery and Storage

Severn Trent Water Ltd. is procuring a comprehensive propane bulk supply and management service to support its domestic and industrial water distribution operations across the United Kingdom. The contract requires the delivery of propane gas to a series of designated storage sites, the provision of a range of dedicated storage tanks, and the installation and operation of advanced telemetry systems to enable real‑time monitoring of tank levels and consumption patterns. Supporting the core supply function, the contractor will also deliver maintenance, repair, and emergency response services for all associated infrastructure, and provide mobilisation and supplier‑switching assistance where required, while adhering to the company’s sustainability and environmental guidelines.

The procurement is divided into five separate lots, each specifying an identical scope of work but varying in the quantity of storage tanks supplied—five tanks for Lot 1, one tank for Lot 2, and three tanks for each of Lots 3 through 5. For every lot, the contractor will maintain agreed minimum tank levels, manage delivery planning, conduct annual maintenance, and supply any related equipment and infrastructure. Upon renewal, the contractor will be expected to maintain the same level of service without significant modifications to the scope. All equipment and services shall comply with UK safety, environmental, and ISO certifications.

The scope of this tender includes propane supply, delivery, tank hire and associated infrastructure, telemetry, storage and transfer equipment, maintenance, repairs, emergency response, mobilisation, supplier switching support, sustainability requirements, contract management and associated commercial services for Severn Trent Water. Severn Trent Green Power Limited (STGP) has similar operational requirements and intends to coordinate its tender exercise alongside STW's. STGP's requirements will be clearly identified as separate.
