Provision of Insurance and Related Services to Gateway Housing Association

Gateway Housing Association is procuring a comprehensive programme of general (non‑life) insurance and related services that covers a wide range of risks. The contract is divided into six discrete lots: a broad general liability and property programme (Lot 1), motor fleet cover including legal expenses and uninsured loss recovery (Lot 2), cyber insurance aimed at protecting digital assets (Lot 3), terrorism coverage through the government‑backed Pool Re (Lot 4), terrorism and political violence cover outside the Pool Re (Lot 5), and a directors‑and‑officers liability programme (Lot 6). Each lot is to be awarded separately, with the possibility of combining contracts, and all are eligible for long‑term renewal over a three‑year base period with an option to extend up to two additional years, contingent upon satisfactory service, performance and cost.

The buyer requires insurers with a minimum rating of ‘BBB’ from Standard & Poor’s, ‘B++’ from A.M. Best, or an equivalent rating from a reputable independent agency, as approved by the contracting authority’s market security committee; insurers rated below A‑ must receive prior disclosure and formal approval. All covered risks will be tailored by Gateway Housing Association at its sole discretion, with the program to be managed and delivered in accordance with the stipulations set out in the tender specifications.

Insurance and related services for Property, legal liability and other general (non-life) insurable risks, as required by Gateway Housing Association. The financial ability to deliver the programme, including Insurers with a minimum rating of ‘BBB’ from standard and poor, ‘B++’ from A M best, or an equivalent rating by an independent and reputable credit rating agency and approved by the bidder’s market security committee. In the case of any rating less than A-, the contracting authority will evaluate and accept the nominated insurer(s) at its sole discretion, subject to disclosure and acceptance prior to the ITT bid deadline of the bidder’s market security committee’s latest report, including written recommendation from the bidder’s market security committee.
