North Yorkshire Council is seeking to award up to three separate contracts for comprehensive site and event security services across the county. The procurement aims to secure a professional, proactive, and customer‑focused security provision that will guarantee the safe, secure, and well‑managed operation of the council’s venues and public spaces. The contracts will cover both permanent premises protection and event‑specific security and stewarding requirements, ensuring consistent safety standards throughout the council’s jurisdiction.

The first contract, Lot 1, will provide manned premises security for the Harrogate Convention Centre, while Lot 2 will deliver event security and stewarding services for venues and public areas in Harrogate, Craven, Richmondshire and Selby. Lot 3 will cover similar services for Scarborough, Ryedale and Hambleton. Each lot is subject to renewal options, reflecting a long‑term partnership strategy, and will be evaluated on a balanced scoring system that weights price, event planning, training, public protection, mobilisation, recruitment, communication, staffing, lone‑working processes and continuous improvement.

All suppliers must demonstrate compliance with statutory security regulations and council‑mandated health and safety standards.
