The service is required to be delivered in a manner that maintains sites in a clean, safe, tidy and well-maintained condition, while taking account of biodiversity, wildlife and environmental sustainability.
The Contractor will also be responsible for the appropriate removal and disposal of waste and arisings generated through the service and for complying with all applicable legislation and regulatory requirements.
Tenderers will be required to submit method statements covering service delivery, environmental sustainability, staffing, and health and safety/risk assessment arrangements.
The contract will initially run for three years, with an option for the Council to extend for a further twelve months, subject to satisfactory performance and the Council's requirements.
The contract will comprise annual-priced core tasks together with additional optional works instructed by the Council and paid in accordance with the Schedule of Rates.
