The Crown Estate- Managing Agents Asset Management

The Crown Estate is conducting a strategic procurement to appoint Managing Agents who will deliver comprehensive asset, contract, compliance, and customer management services across its extensive UK portfolio. This portfolio includes coastal, marine, mineral and infrastructure assets that span from Wales to Northern Ireland and cover a range of specific sectors such as linear transport corridors and mineral extraction sites. By segmenting the contract into eight distinct lots, the Crown Estate seeks to match each geographical and sectoral requirement with specialised expertise, ensuring that localised knowledge and industry experience are appropriately leveraged.

Lot 1 through Lot 4 cover the primary coastal regions of Wales, Northern England, Eastern England, and Southern England respectively, while Lot 5 targets the River Hamble area and Lot 6 focuses on Northern Irish coastal assets. Lot 7 and Lot 8 address linear assets and mineral assets, both of which demand unique operational and regulatory considerations. Each lot is structured with an initial triennial term followed by a series of single‑year extensions, and options for further renewal are incorporated across all lots to provide continuity and flexibility.

The Managing Agents must demonstrate specialist competence, operational resilience, and a commitment to continuous service improvement. Compliance with all applicable statutory and regulatory frameworks is mandatory, and the suppliers’ performance will be evaluated on quality of service and cost effectiveness. The appointed agents must adhere to industry best practices and statutory standards as a single prerequisite.
