The Supply of Buttons, Badges & Medal Ribbons

The United Kingdom Ministry of Defence, through Team Leidos Supply, is procuring a range of military uniform accessories under a 6‑year framework contract that will run from 2027 to 2033. The requirement is split into four distinct lots: embroidered badges, woven badges and medal ribbons, metal badges, and buttons. Each lot covers a specific type of item intended for use on uniforms and headwear, and the procurement seeks to source all sizes, designs and materials required to meet the diverse operational needs of the armed forces.

Lot 1 will supply embroidered badges and rank slides, where the insignia is stitched onto a base to create a textured, raised finish that must conform to the Ministry’s finished‑goods specifications. Lot 2 covers woven badges and medal ribbons, manufactured by interweaving multiple strands of fabric to achieve the required patterns and colours. Lot 3 concerns metal badges produced from various metals and alloys, each badge designed to be durable and suitable for attachment across a range of military apparel and headgear. Lot 4 provides buttons supplied in a variety of materials, sizes and designs to match the aesthetic and functional standards of the outfit.

All items must meet the specified production methods, surface finishes, dimensional accuracy and material composition stipulated in the Ministry of Defence uniform specification documents.

Team Leidos are proud to be delivering the logistics commodities and services transformation (LCS(T)) Delivery partner contracts (LCS (T)/0001 dated 16.4.2015) on behalf of the UK Ministry of Defence (MoD) (the ‘Prime Contract’). Delivery of other parts of the LCS(T) contract are delivered by Leidos Europe Ltd (LEL) and other partners (together ‘Team Leidos’). This requirement is subject to the Public Procurement Regulations and respective advertising action.
The Defence Clothing Team, which forms part of Leidos Supply Ltd. is considering the potential requirement for the Supply of Leather Gloves on behalf of the UK MoD, consisting of 4 Lots:
Lot 1:
Embroidered Badges
The total estimated value for this Lot will be between £3,200,000 - £8,100,000, with a total contract length of 6 Years.
Lot 2:
Woven Badges & Medal Ribbons
The total estimated value for this Lot will be between £860,000 - £2,200,000, with a total contract length of 6 Years.
Lot 3:
Metal Badges
The total estimated value for this Lot will be between £9,300,000 - £23,300,000, with a total contract length of 6 Years.
Lot 4:
Buttons
The total estimated value for this Lot will be between £2,200,000 - £5,600,000, with a total contract length of 6 Years.
