Deadline:

AI Summary

The Medical Research Council seeks an independent external partner to conduct a comprehensive evaluation of the return on investment and social return on investment generated by its Fellowships programme. The analysis will supply evidence that the fellowships deliver measurable benefits to the UK economy and society, thereby supporting MRC’s public communication strategy, shaping future programme offers, and informing the UKRI’s long‑term investment and benefit‑tracking framework.

The evaluation must employ rigorous mixed‑method techniques that combine quantitative econometric analysis with qualitative impact assessment. It should produce a transparent, theory‑based evaluation of how fellowship resources translate into tangible outcomes, including career progression, research outputs, and downstream economic contributions. The findings will underpin MRC’s accountability to stakeholders and assist in refining the fellowship portfolio to maximise societal benefit.

The service must be executed in accordance with the RM6126 Research and Insights Dynamic Purchasing System sub‑categories: grants and grant funding, econometric analysis, financial analysis (including cost‑benefit and ROI), impact assessment, mixed method, impact evaluation, theory‑based impact evaluation, and value‑for‑money evaluation.
