WCC - Dynamic Purchasing System (DPS) for Road Traffic Surveys

Country:
United Kingdom of Great Britain and Northern Ireland
Sector:
Architectural, construction, engineering and inspection services
Deadline:
23 Feb 2029

AI Summary

The Warwickshire County Council is establishing a dynamic purchasing system to secure the supply of a suite of road traffic surveys. Through this system suppliers will be able to provide automatic traffic count, junction turning count, active travel, automatic number plate recognition and parking surveys across the county’s highway network. Each survey type is designed to run for specific durations—two‑week periods for traffic counts, weekday spikes for turning, active travel and parking surveys, and compact intervals for ANPR—providing comprehensive data on vehicle volumes, speeds, classifications, origin‑destination journeys, emissions, and parking usage.

Operators elected to the DPS will register with the council’s free e‑tendering platform, In‑Tend, with all communication funneled through the system’s correspondence function. Upon successful admission and a 30‑day initial period, suppliers will receive notifications of contracting opportunities and may choose to bid on the tasks that suit their capabilities. The system is structured as a recurring procurement with a four‑year validity and the possibility of renewal, while options and variants are excluded.

All surveys must conform to UK road safety and data protection standards.
