PIPELAYING AND CONCRETE RESTORATION WORKS INCLUDING RESTORATION MATERIALS (INFRA01)
The Candelaria Water District is issuing a procurement for pipelaying and concrete restoration works within the municipality of Candelaria, Quezon. The project is divided into two sequential phases: Phase 1 (Bukal Sur) covering approximately 4,278 linear meters and Phase 2 (Mangilag Sur – Malabanban Norte) covering about 4,799 linear meters. Over the entire scope, the contract requires the installation of uPVC pipework ranging from 50 mm to 150 mm in diameter, horizontal boring crossings of 6‑inch and 8‑inch pipelines, and full trenching, excavation, and backfilling operations.
The works include excavation and trenching in 300‑meter segments, installation assistance for valves and fittings, concrete sidewalk restoration, hydrotesting of the installed pipelines, hauling and disposal of excavated materials, and the necessary site safety and traffic management support. Skilled labor, comprising foremen, pipe fitters, and masons, together with unskilled laborers, will perform the tasks using appropriate excavation and hauling tools and equipment, while concrete strength testing assistance will be provided to guarantee the integrity of the restored sidewalks. Completion of the entire project is required within 329 calendar days from the receipt of the Notice to Proceed.
All activities must adhere to the applicable DPWH Department Order by restoring each 300‑meter segment before proceeding to the next, thereby ensuring compliance with the specified procedural and technical standards.
